PAINTINGS - These are a series of paintings developed independantly of Kathys commercial commisions and uses different mediums. The top row followed a personal investigation into loss and liberation.

RESIN WORKS - Following on from her Fine Art MA where Kathy worked with ‘process installations’, these works are a new venture for her in that they are static, reflecting a time of alchemy and process – an intense negotiation between myself and the work as she responds to pigment laden substances of differing viscosities struggling for supremacy in the face of gravity, heat, air flow and chemical reaction.

There is an anxiety regarding the edges of the works, with enforced limits suggesting containment – but then, a sense of liberation  in breaking through or beyond the borders.
